MCBA MODERATOR
Rev. Dr. Timothy L. Jordan

Biography of Reverend Dr. Timothy L. Jordan

Reverend Dr. Timothy L. Jordan is a devoted servant-leader, visionary pastor, educator, and community advocate whose life and ministry reflect faith, scholarship, and service. He has faithfully served as the Pastor of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Trenton, NJ since 2009.  He was installed in November 2025 as the Moderator of the Middlesex Central Baptist Association (MCBA).

Born in Rome, New York, Reverend Jordan is the son of the late Deacon Edwin Jordan and Charlene Jordan. During his early childhood, he had the privilege of traveling the world as a result of his father’s service in the United States Air Force. Most notably, he spent several of his adolescent years in Okinawa, Japan, where he was immersed in diverse cultures and learned multiple languages. He was later educated in the Willingboro School System and remains a proud local native of the community.

Reverend Jordan is a spirited, gifted, and anointed pastor. His preaching and teaching are marked by creativity, vision, and spiritual depth. He carries a mandate to Build, Bring, and Bridge the Church and the community together while advancing the Kingdom agenda. His altruistic spirit and passion for outreach continue to inspire the ministry of Calvary as he reaches souls “beyond the walls” of the church.

Dr. Jordan has been blessed with opportunities to preach throughout the United States and abroad, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He formerly served as Chaplain for the Philadelphia Eagles, providing spiritual guidance and religious services to players, their families, coaches, and staff.

Serving and caring for people is not simply a philosophy for Dr. Jordan—it is his standard of living. Across the Northeast, he holds numerous positions dedicated to community development and empowerment. Under the administration of Reed Gusciora, Dr. Jordan serves as Vice President of the CHANGE Committee and on the Subcommittee for Less Than Lethal Force and Weaponry.

In addition to his pastoral and civic leadership, Dr. Jordan is an Adjunct Professor, a highly sought-after lecturer, and preacher for religious and corporate platforms across the nation. He is also a soon-to-be-published author of his debut book, "Preaching in the Footnote".

Moderator Jordan’s educational background is extensive and impressive. A strong advocate for lifelong learning, he has studied at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, and the International Denominational Theological Center. In May 2014, he earned a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree, and in 2019 he received a Master’s in Christian Education (MACE), both from Virginia Union University, Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology in Richmond, Virginia. Most recently, in 2022, Dr. Jordan graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree from the Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Jordan is the recipient of numerous awards and citations; however, it is his humble spirit that shines most brightly. One of his greatest blessings is his family. He is married to Lady Monique Jordan and is the proud father of one daughter, Brianna Lynn Jordan, and two sons, Brandon Timothy Jordan and Markus Odell. He is also blessed with eight grandchildren--Cameron, Cali, Landon, Laila, Zuri, Karmello, Kayla and Kayden.

Above all, Moderator Jordan gives God all the praise, honor, and glory for the opportunity to serve as His humble servant. His favorite hymn is “’Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus,” and his life scripture is 1 Timothy 1:12:

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.”
